"I recently used NZ House Surveys to inspect two properties I was interested in. Real story here is that after my first experience with NZ House surveys, I went back again. Dave identified some aspects I hadn't spotted myself - such as a few original wooden piles right in the middle of the house which hadn't been replaced due to poor accessibility. Other stuff included: Paint pots sitting in a roofspace catching drips, rotting timber framing, structural supports that are shown in council drawings but physically missing.
